assignment
This project was my graduation project for my Master of Arts degree in Interaction Design. For my graduation project I wanted to challenge myself with a target group that I new very little of, yet I as an interaction designer, could mean a lot for. It seemed a obvious choice as an Interaction Designer to help a target group that has trouble with Interaction.
Partners in crime

Although I worked alone on this project I still had a lot of help from different people. Without their help this project would not have been such a success.

  • Dhr. Tim Woudenberg, Stichting Karakter, Nymegen.
  • Mevr. Hanneke Blom, Eerste Nederlandse Buitenschool, The Hague.
  • Irene Peer, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, Hilversum.
  • Niels ter Huurne, Radbout Universiteit, Nijmegen.
concept
A software designed to help high functional autistic children with exploring and improving their expressions and basic social skills from their home environment.

Designing software that creates more awareness and involvement for parents in the development process of the social skills of their child. A concept where a combination of existing social development materials and emotion recognition software will make it more easier for high functional autistic children to develop their basic social skills.
